NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (QCF)
This qualiﬁcation develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in a senior role with adults in health and social care environments. This course is suitable for those who wish to work or are working in an unsupervised role with adults in health and social care environments. To start this qualification you should be at least 16 years old and achieved level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care or similar qualification. This qualification will take one year to complete.
Qualification structure and assessment
It covers a wide range of areas including supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care, daily living needs and health care procedures.
It has three pathways:
- Generic Health and Social Care
- Learning Disability
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments. You will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement as you need to show competence in both knowledge and skills.
On completion you can progress to a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (England). You can apply for jobs as a:
